Calling All Mentors!
Interested in mentoring one of our students in an area of your expertise! Mentoring serves as a powerful way to connect with our children that change the vision, health, or the economic base of a community. The impact of a mentor with youth is boundless and serves as a low-cost, low-tech strategy to help youth in challenging situations. Mentoring is one effective tool for keeping students in school. What is Naviance?
Naviance is a comprehensive web site that assists in managing the college and career exploration process. Students are able to complete personality and career inventories, build resumes and utilize PrepMe which is an ACT preparation tool. Naviance also allows students to complete their Next Step Plan to identify courses they plan on taking throughout their High School career.
To log on to Naviance: go to https://connection.naviance.com; your username is your student’s identification number; password is their birthday (ie. 01081998); click on the tab Courses; click on Manage your Course Plan.
